Bronze Figure, St. Francis with Wolf

Such figures are barely sold. This one comes from a foundry in Marinelli, Florence and was made by the artist Giovanni Cappelletti (1889 - 1964). Many pieces in Rome come from this famous foundry. Pictured here is an expressive bronze sculpture of the highest quality. It used to belong in a villa for about 30 years before it was re-patinated in a Swiss art foundry. Now the figure is placed in a town close to Zurich.
